Crest Nicholson was promoting a site in Warwick, on the boundary with Coventry, for up to 425 new homes. The site was in the Green Belt and next to a Scheduled Monument. The proposals were opposed by ward members on both sides of the local authority boundary, as well as the parish council.
DI supported Crest Nicholson through both the Local Plan process and the subsequent planning application.
The site was removed from the Green Belt and allocated in the Local Plan, and the planning application for 425 homes was approved at committee 6 votes to 4.
