100 Leadenhall Street is one of the last significant development plots in the City of London's Eastern Cluster of tall buildings. It is surrounded by several important historic buildings and other newer internationally acclaimed tall buildings, such as the Gherkin. Lai Sun's proposed 56-storey office building received significant media attention and stakeholder interest, including objections from St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London.
DI delivered the pre-application consultation, led ongoing engagement with neighbours, and managed political and media relations throughout the process.
The proposals received a resounding 21 to 2 committee vote in favour.
